Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro accepts that his side will be permanently under threat by Stellenbosch FC when the two sides meet in the MTN8 final.

The Buccaneers are set to take on Stellies for the top eight title when the two sides meet at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.

Pirates made their way to the final after they claimed a 3-1 aggregate victory over Cape Town City in the two-legged semi-final.

Stellies, meanwhile, secured their passage to the final two following their 2-0 aggregate win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals.

The Spanish tactician says they will respect their next opponents, as he knows from past experiences it will not be easy to beat Stellies.

“We have to accept Stellenbosch the way they are, we respect them big time we faced them four times last season in the MTN 8 semi-finals and in our two games in the league,” Riveiro said.

“We beat them once and it took 94 minutes to beat them in Athlone against 10 players we did not get the result in any of the other games, so we have to accept that, it’s going to be a game where we are going to be permanently under threat.”

Orlando Pirates against Stellenbosch FC kicks off at 6pm on Saturday.
