Orlando Pirates is expected to be without right back Deano van Rooyen when they take on TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday evening.

The 27-year-old lasted 28 minutes before he was taken off and replaced by Paseka Mako in their 2-1 victory over AmaZulu at the Orlando Stadium this past weekend.

Van Rooyen looks set to miss their upcoming Betway Premiership encounter against TS Galaxy when they do battle at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The likes of Thabiso Monyane and Bandile Shandu will most likely be given the opportunity to replace him in his absence as they wait to hear the extent of his injury.

“Right back Deano van Rooyen is a fresh injury concern for Pirates after he had to withdraw early against Usuthu,” Pirates said in a statement.

“The 27-year-old was replaced by Paseka Mako in the first half and his potential absence could mean an opportunity for the likes of Thabiso Monyane and Bandile Shandu.”
