Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has urged his side to find a way to compartmentalise their fixture schedule ahead of their double-header against Marumo Gallants.
The Maroons are set to face Marumo Gallants in Betway Premiership when the two sides meet at DHL Cape Town Stadium on Thursday evening.
The two sides will square off again at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium when they do battle in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
Barker says he will be taking it game by game, starting with their league encounter in Cape Town before heading to Bloemfontein for their cup tie.
“The fact that we are playing in Cape Town is advantageous to us in the first game,” Barker told his club’s official website.
“It is a league match and there are league points on offer, so one has to find a way to compartmentalise.
“We have to focus and not think about the cup game, get the job done, and then wake up on Friday morning to start thinking of the next one.
“There is no preference between the two because ideally, we want to win both.”
