Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos wants to end the year on a high note by beating Uganda and South Sudan in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The South African national team are scheduled to face Uganda at the Mandela National Stadium on November 15 before taking on South Sudan at Cape Town Stadium four days later.
South Africa will come into this fixture after playing out to a 1-1 draw against Congo at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat Stadium on October.
Bafana currently occupy second place in Group K with eight points from four games, having won two and drew two matches.
“We can end 2024 on a fantastic note,” Broos said.
“We started the year very well with the bronze medal (at the AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire) and it would be nice to end it with qualification for AFCON again.
“We will try to qualify in the first game (against Uganda). It will not be easy because we are playing against an opponent who is already qualified, and who is confident.
“I think they played very good qualifiers, and they are playing at home. But in the past, we succeeded in winning difficult games and we know we can do it because we have quality in the team.”
