Orlando Pirates forward Evidence Makgopa says he does not want to disappoint Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos as they prepare to face Uganda on Friday.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Buccaneers and has already scored six goals in 13 matches across all competitions so far this season.

The Buccaneers forward has since been called up to the national team for their final two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan.

Makgopa says he is delighted to be back in the Bafana squad after missing out on the other qualifiers due to injury.

“The only thing I can say is, you don’t want to disappoint such a person who has faith in you,” Makgopa said.

“So, the only thing that you have to do for him is just to push. When he gives you a chance, you just have to work for him and do whatever you have to do.”
