Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has his eyes set on claiming a positive result against South Sudan when they meet in the final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday.
South Africa have already qualified for next year’s AFCON prior to their clash against Uganda on Friday evening.
Bafana managed to come out of their penultimate clash with a 2-0 victory over Uganda thanks to goals from Thapelo Morena and Patrick Maswanganyi at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala
Broos’ chargers now find themselves sitting at the top of the Group K standings with 11 points from five matches, a point behind their Uganda in second place.
South Africa will now turn their attention to their final qualifier when they welcome South Sudan to the DHL Stadium on Tuesday.
“We came here to win, we came here to be first in the group, and we are now first in the group,”
“We will try to also win the game against South Sudan on Tuesday, and stay at the top of the group.”
