Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways in the Betway Premiership after claiming a 2-1 victory over Richards Bay at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Glamour Boys broke the deadlock in the 21st minute when Wandile Duba slotted the ball home after latching on to a Yusuf Maart cross to make it 1-0.
Amakhosi doubled their lead in the 68th minute when Ashley Du Preez was played through on goal by Maart before beating the Richards Bay keeper.
The Natal Rich Boys did manage to score a consolation goal in injury time courtesy of Yamela Mbuthuma but it was to late as Chiefs held on for the win and all three points.
The win sees Chiefs move up to sixth place on the table with 10 points after six games, while Richards Bay are placed 14th with five points after eight matches.
