Cape Town City snapped their two game winless run in the Betway Premiership following their 1-0 win over Polokwane City at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Citizens captain Thamsanqa Mkhize scored the only goal of the game in the 56th minute when he found the back of the net from inside the box to hand his side maximum points.

The win takes City up to 10th place on the log with eight points after six games, while Rise and Shine remain in third position with 13 points from eight matches.
