Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana defender Keanu Cupido.

The 27-year-old arrives at Sundowns after parting ways with Cape Town City.
During his time at City, Cupido scored one goal and registered three assists in 143 appearances across all competitions.
The Soweto-born defender managed to win one piece of silverware during his stay at City when they won the MTN8 title during the 2018-19 season.
“From the Cape to Chloorkop – Keanu Cupido is a Sandawana,” Sundowns announced on X.
“Bafana Bafana international defender Keanu Cupido has joined The Brazilians on a long-term deal.”

Meanwhile, Cupido opened up on his move to the club, stating, “This feels like the proudest moment for me as a footballer because I know the standards of Mamelodi Sundowns and I feel I need to keep this standard as well.
