AmaZulu co-coach Arthur Zwane has backed goalkeeper Richard Ofori despite making a few errors against Kaizer Chiefs.

Usuthu failed to walk away with three points at the FNB Stadium after own goals from Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Richard Ofori handed Amakhosi a point in the Betway Premiership.

Despite the draw, AmaZulu moved up to seventh place on the log with 20 points from 16 matches.

They will be hoping to return to winning ways when they face Marumo Gallants at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening.

“Look, unfortunately football is a game of mistakes, as I said, he kept us in the game and sometimes when the pressure mounts you’re bound to crack,” Zwane told SuperSport TV after the game.

“I think he made crucial mistakes that both of them we know at any given day he would save them, make them look easy but it happened.”
