Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat has admitted he faces a tough task in bettering his accomplishments in the 2015-16 season.
The forward enjoyed his best season to date last term as Sundowns ran-away with the Absa Premiership, eventually taking the title by a mammoth 15 point margin over nearest rivals Bidvest Wits.
Now, the Zimbabwean knows it will be difficult to maintain the standard he set last term, a level that saw him record 12 goals and 17 assists across all competitions en route to claiming the PSL Player of the Season award.
Billiat has now been linked with a move overseas, with an unnamed club in France said to be interested in the star.
‘It’s going to be a bit challenging doing so well this [2016-17] season,’ Billiat told KickOff.
‘It will always be a bit difficult to push to another level, but I am the kind of player who will fight to do better. I’ll take next season twice as seriously and work twice as hard and then see what it brings.’
