Former Kaizer Chiefs star Junior Khanye has revealed he has no regrets about throwing away his enterprising career with the Glamour Boys.
The 30-year-old, who made his last professional appearance back in the 2013-14 season, had a troubled career due to persisting drink and discipline issues. But now the player has revealed he his is eager to make a return to the sport, insisting he has feels no remorse, but rather desires a new beginning.
‘I am a person who doesn’t regret things,’ Khanye told KickOff.
‘There are things I messed up, but I believe this is the beginning of a new life.’
Khanye has revealed he has found a new outlet in his life in the form of religion, but nevertheless still enjoys his football, particularly when an opportunity to play with old friends presents itself.
‘Jabu [Mahlangu] and Skapie [Malatsie], those are my brothers,’ he adds. ‘I still play with Skapie in certain tournaments – we went to Mpumalanga recently and entertained people there.
‘We still talk and encourage each other, and I wish God can also help him,’ he concluded.
