Mpumalanga Black Aces owner John Comitis has appointed Eric Tinkler as their new coach ahead of the 2015-16 season.

This comes days after Orlando Pirates appointed Muhsin Ertugral as the new Buccaneers coach.

Comitis has revealed that the 45-year-old coach will join the new Cape Town-based club on a three-year contract.

‘I John Comitis is happy to disclose and announce that the Head Coach of the new Club in Cape Town will be Eric Tinkler.

‘It is seldom that you find a South African Head Coach that has played at the highest level of Football in the EPL and in the Serie A League. But to add to that the has the highest level of qualification – UEFA Pro License.

‘We have committed ourselves to a 3 year contract and we are positive that his experience coupled with his knowledge will assist us to build this Club from the ground up.

‘His recent success in the African Cup are well documented and this bodes well with our future ambitions.
