Chippa United left back Nkosinthi Mthiyane insists his future remains in the hands of the club after Orlando Pirates declared their interest in the player.
The 28-year-old claimed that club owner Siviwe Mpengesi informed him that the Buccaneers has shown interest in signing him.
The former Thanda Royal Zulu player has been in impressive form for the Chilli Boys last season, netting three goals and assisting a further four since his transfer from AmaZulu in July 2015.
Mthiyane says that he is flattered by the Soweto giants interest but insists he is only focused on the start of the pre-season.
‘Chippa (Mpengesi) has told me about Pirates interest and I am still waiting for feedback from him about this,’ Mthiyane told KickOff.com.
‘It is always exciting to hear of interest in your services from teams as big as Pirates but right now I am not putting it into my head because nothing has happened.
‘I am just at home relaxing and will only see the need to start thinking about a move if I am told that the two clubs have agreed. For now, I am staying and just looking forward to the start of pre-season,’ he added.
Last season Mthiyane helped the Chilli Boys to secure their highest-ever position Premiership finish as they booked a spot in the MTN8 after ending in sixth place
