Orlando Pirates has completed the signing of midfielder Donald Makondelela from Baroka.

The midfielder has signed a three-year contract with the Buccaneers and has helped Bakgaga gain promotion to the Absa Premiership for the first time in the clubs history.

According to KickOff.com, a source close to the club confirmed that Makondelela has signed for the Soweto giants.

‘The 24-year-old is expected to start training with Pirates on Thursday,’ the source said.

‘Pirates have signed Makondelela. It’s done deal.

‘He is arriving in Johannesburg today to start training with the club tomorrow,’ the source added.

The Buccaneers has already prized away last season’s National First Division top goalscorer Thabiso Kutumela from Baroka.
