New SuperSport United signing Cole Alexander has spoken on his journey from Vasco Da Gama to the relative big time of the Premiership.
Alexander, who joined Matsatsantsa from Polokwane City, spoke to the club’s website upon his arrival at the club for the start of their pre-season preparations.
‘It has been a long journey for me moving from club to club but what I can say is that hard work pays off. I am so happy to be here and to be joining a big team like SuperSport United,’ the midfielder said.
The 26-year-old has noticed a marked difference in the quality of facilities he has encountered during his journey.
‘So those clubs that I have been to over my career such as Vasco Da Gama and Polokwane City I tend to compare the training fields and facilities between the clubs,’ he continued.
‘I think that Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United is more into detail with a lot of things and it’s those little details that make a difference.’
Finally, Alexander took a moment to pay tribute to all the coaches who have aided his development.
‘I am still growing and adapting to the playing style and I think with each club you learn something new. Throughout with my career I was blessed to be with very good coaches so wherever I was, I was coached by good coaches,’ he concluded.
Alexander made 24 appearances in the Premiership last term, scoring once.
