Germany coach Joachim Low has blamed poor luck for his side’s exit from Euro 2016, believing his side was the superior outfit. 

The coach admitted his side did everything they could to score while remaining adamant his side was the better of the two.

‘We were the better team. We put in a lot of effort, showed good body language, got forward and were good in our individual battles. We were unfortunate to concede a penalty a minute before half-time, that was bad luck,’ Low told Uefa.com.

Low pointed out a series of injuries and suspensions that had weakened his side for the clash.
