The race for AmaTuks striker Thabo Mnyamane is heating up as SuperSport United have now entered the race to sign the player.
Platinum Stars were reportedly close to sealing a deal for the 23-year-old as little as a week ago but the fresh interest from Matsatsantsa may tempt the player to remain in the surrounds of Tshwane.
‘Mnyamane did agree terms with Platinum Stars but was still yet to sign on the dotted line,’ a source told KickOff.
‘SuperSport United have since come up with a better offer. An announcement will be made soon.’
Meanwhile, the player’s agent Mandla Mthembu has admitted Mnyamane could soon be on the move, but stopped short of revealing the details of the prospective deal.
‘The deal is 99 percent done but I can’t reveal the name of the team,’ Mthembu said.
AmaTuks agreed to part ways with the player following their relegation to the National First Division next term.
Mnyamane managed six goals in 33 appearances for Tuks last season.
