Portuguese star and former Manchester United winger Nani has finalised his move to Valencia from Fenerbahce for €8.5-million.
The winger, who scored three goals en route to claiming the European Championships with Portugal, was presented to the fans on Friday.
‘Cristiano congratulated me and told me that Valencia was a great club in Spain and that I was going to fit into La Liga,’ the winger told the club’s website.
‘Settling in is something that takes time, but I don’t think it will be too complicated because the style of play is similar to Portugal. It is technical and can be very fast.’
The player insists he has come to Valencia to challenge for trophies.
‘Hopefully I can be a key part of the club and help them to win trophies. I feel that the fans are waiting for me and they are happy I have come here.
‘It is a very special day for me and I’m happy to be here. I had the chance to wander around the city and it’s really beautiful,’ he concluded.
