Maritzburg United chairman Farouk Kadodia has shut the door on Evans Rusike’s exit from the club revealing he has turned down advances from Kaizer Chiefs.
Rusike is in high demand following his nine goals for the Team of Choice last term, a tally which included a remarkable brace against Jomo Cosmos in the dying minutes of the 2015-16 season that kept the club afloat.
Kadodia, however, remains adamant the club’s player of the season will not be permitted to depart.
‘Rusike is not for sale and I have made it very clear to you and everybody else,’ he told KickOff.
‘Tell everybody Rusike is going nowhere. Chiefs have made a hundred offers and l have received two hundred offers, and Rusike is not for sale and it is simple as that,’ he concluded.
