Thabo Nthethe has wished Mohamed Ibrahim a fast recovery after his tackle injured the midfielder during Mamelodi Sundowns Caf Champions League clash against Zamalek.
The 24-year-old was forced off the fielder during their Group B encounter following a strong challenge from Nthethe.
The 24-year-old midfielder has now been ruled out for three months with a broken fibula and dislocated ankle.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic defender hopes that the Egyptian midfielder makes good progress with his rehabilitation.
‘From Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club, and myself Thabo Nthethe, we just want to wish Mohamed Ibrahim a speedy recovery,” Nthethe said in a video message on Sundowns Twitter page.
The Brazilians went on to win the match 2-1 and will host the return leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on July 27.
