Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of striker Ryan Moon from Maritzburg United.
Amakhosi coach Steve Komphela says that he signed the 19-year-old will be an addition to the Chiefs strike force.
‘Ryan is one for the future,’ Komphela told Kaizer Chiefs website. ‘He will give us options as a striker and on the flanks.’
The 49-year-old coach went on to praise the Maritzburg youth product, adding that he has the qualities of an Amakhosi player.
‘He played a few games for Maritzburg towards the end of last season and watching his play, he ticks all the boxes. He has strong qualities and with proper integration into the Chiefs way, he will bring value to the team,’ he added.
Moon, who made three appearances for the Team of Choice last season feels honoured to have joined a club of the Glamour Boys calibre.
‘I am excited and over the moon to be joining a big club like Chiefs,’Moon said. “I am honoured to be part of this exciting brand. The facilities here are amazing and this will help take my game to the next level.”
