Humiliated Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart appears set to depart the club with the likes of Sevilla and Everton chasing his signature, according to a report.
With Barcelona shot-stopper Claudio Bravo allegedly nearing a move to the Citizens, it appears England international Hart is set to become surplus to requirements at the club.
The 29-year-old has been left out of both of City’s competitive matches thus far this season and all the signs suggest the star has not future at the club under Pep Guardiola.
Hart, meanwhile, is believed to be desperate to secure first team football. The player is thus keen to make the switch to another club, though his £140,000-a-week salary could pose an obstacle to Sevilla in particular.
Everton, on the other hand, appears in a stronger position to secure the goalkeeper’s signature having recently sold the likes of John Stones to the Sky Blues. For the Toffees, meeting Hart’s salary and probably loan fee are less of an issue.
Everton currently have three goalkeepers on their books. One of those, however, is the 19-year-old Mateusz Hewelt, who has yet to earn any top class experience.
Meanwhile, Barcelona appears to have acquiesced to Bravo’s decision to leave and are believed to be on the search for new goalkeeper of their own.
Hart has made 347 appearances in Manchester City colours and was a key member of the squad that won the Premier League and League Cup twice apiece, as well as a solitary FA Cup triumph.
Manchester City’s next match sees them take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
Kick-off is 13:30.
