Free State Stars have announced the appointment of assistant coach Phillip Noel Ciccarini to replace the departed Bradley Carnell.
Ciccarini will join head coach and fellow Frenchman Denis Lavagne at the club, with the Stars boss having replaced the departed Giovanni Solinas back in June. Carnell, meanwhile, who had been the assistant to Lavagne, departed the club to join Orlando Pirates in turn.
Stars coupled the announcement with confirmation of the arrival of eight new signings at the club. The players in question are defenders David Booysen, Joseph Stanley Okumu, midfielders Thokozani Sekotlong, Charles Kampi, Tebogo Potsane and Tholang Lwana, and goalkeeping duo Sinethemba Jantjie and Christopher Henri Mafoumbi.
Finally, the club announced Joma will be their technical sponsor for the forthcoming season. All the announcements were reported by the club’s official website.
