Baroka CEO Morgan Mamilla says striker Geoffrey Massa has to wait three weeks before making his debut for the club following issues with his work permit.
The 30-year-old missed out on the newly-promoted side’s 1-1 draw with Ajax Cape Town in their opening Absa Premiership.
Mamilla has confirmed that the club has to wait at least three weeks before the striker is handed his work permit.
‘Work permit. We will have to wait for at least 3 weeks for Massa’s work permit to be sorted,’ Mamilla told KickOff.com.
The club’s CEO believes that the result of Bakgaga opening match against the Urban Warriors could’ve been different if Massa was present in the team.
‘We really missed him in the Ajax match on Tuesday, if he was available the results would have been different,’ he added.
Meanwhile, Mamilla also revealed that the club’s newest signing Aucho Khalid’s work permit will take at least four weeks to sort out.
‘Aucho’s work permit will take 4 weeks, as for him I still have to apply for his work permit, I haven’t applied yet,’ the CEO said.
Baroka will now travel to Makhulong Stadium when they take on fellow newly-promoted side Highlands Park on September 13.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
