Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera believes that Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic still plays like he’s in his 20’s.
The 35-year-old is currently the United player to have featured in every match so far this season and has already scored six goals from 11 matches.
Herrera has described Ibrahimovic as an ‘unbelievable’ player and says that he is an example of a player everybody should admire.
‘He trains every day at his best, trying to get everyone at their highest level. He doesn’t lose one training session,’ Herrera told the Manchester United website.
‘If you saw a game and you didn’t know Zlatan’s age you could think he was only 28 or 29 and that is good for us.
‘He’s an example for every one of us. I am not young, not old, I’m in the middle and he is an example for me as well. When you behave as a professional you can still be at a top club at 35.’
Over the course of his career, Ibrahimovic has been with eight clubs in six different leagues and has netted a total of 379 times and has assisted a further 150 goals from 640 appearances in all competitions.
When the Premier League returns, Manchester United will travel to Anfield when they take on Liverpool on October 17.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 21:00.
