Maritzburg United captain Kurt Lentjies says his side will be going all out when they take on Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium in the Telkom Knockout on Saturday.
The Team of Choice will be hoping to take revenge on Amakhosi after Steve Komphela’s side beat them 2-0 in the Absa Premiership last month.
The 31-year-old believes his side has prepared well for the clash and will be going all out for the victory.
‘It was good that we didn’t lose on Saturday,’ Lentjies said.
‘Obviously, we wanted to win but a draw was not bad as well. Now we have to prepare for the weekend, where we are playing in a cup game.’
Lentjies believes his side is focusing on the knockout clash against the Glamour Boys, with the Team of Choice more than ready for the encounter.
‘You know there is only one result here and that’s a win. We have to shift our focus and make sure that we are 100% ready for the game on Saturday. It’s true we lost there in the league but, as I have said, this is a cup game and we need to advance to the next round.’
Maritzburg United against Kaizer Chiefs kicks off at 20:15.
