West Ham United secure their place in the next round of the EFL Cup following their 2-1 victory over London rivals Chelsea at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday.

Senegalese midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate put the Hammers ahead in the 11th minute with a brilliant header from a Mark Noble cross.

Edimilson Fernandes then doubled their advantage shortly after the break before Chelsea defender Gary Cahil slotted home an injury-time consolation.
