Chelsea forward Pedro says his side’s performance against Everton was their best so far this season.
The Blues cruised to a comfortable 5-0 thrashing of the Toffees at Stamford Bridge via goals by Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonso, Diego Costa and Pedro.
The 29-year-old says he was more than delighted, adding the Blues should be playing like this all the time.
‘It was a very good win, this is the right way (to play),’ Pedro told the Chelsea website.
‘It was a good performance and we are in first position at the moment, so it was a great day for us.
‘This is a very good moment for us and the supporters, so we must enjoy this win. Now we have a break, a few days off, so we can relax and then start working hard in training again.’
The Blues have now taken maximum points from their last five matches, scoring 16 goals without conceding any. Pedro believes this has been their Blues best performance of the season.
‘The new formation is very good for the team, it’s a great system for us,’ he added.
‘It was our best performance, it was very good team work from everybody and that’s the most important thing. Now we must go game by game.
‘It’s good for us, in the last five games we haven’t conceded a goal and we’ve played very well. The defence has been very good.’
When the Premier League returns, Chelsea will take on Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on 20 November, with kick-off set for 18:00.
