Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda has finally earned a call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad albeit as an injury replacement.
KickOff reports that Mabunda has received a call from Shakes Mashaba to join the national team ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Senegal in Polokwane on Saturday. Mabunda’s colleague at Chloorkop, left-back Tebogo Langerman, has already been withdrawn from the squad.
Furman has been ruled out with a rib injury, allowing the in-form Sundowns midfielder a chance to impress Mashaba.
Bafana are sweating on injury niggles picked up by Daine Klate and Andile Jali ahead of the crucial tie at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The match kicks off at 15:00.
