Uganda national team coach Milutin Sredojevic is set to replace Shakes Mashaba as head coach of Bafana Bafana, according to local and foreign media reports.
The 47-year-old has had an impressive run of results with the Cranes, having already led them to the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Mashaba’s future as head coach of the South African team remains uncertain following his suspension by Safa.
Meanwhile, it has been speculated that Sredojevic looks set to replace Mashaba if he leaves his post in the coming weeks.
The former Orlando Pirates coach is in advanced talks to take over as South Africa’s head coach, according to the Ugandan Radio Network website.
Bafana Bafana will take on Mozambique in an international friendly at Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto on Tuesday, with kick-off set for 19:00.
