Brazil legend Cafu believes Manchester City supporters are in for a treat when Gabriel Jesus returns to the club from his loan spell at Palmeiras.
The 19-year-old recently got on the scoresheet and assisted a goal during the Selecao World Cup qualifier following their 2-0 victory over Peru at Estadio Nacional.
The most-capped player has been impressed with the young forward’s performance for the national team and insists that City fans have something to look forward to when he returns.
‘Fantastic win for the team, Gabriel Jesus is impressive for everyone, Manchester City fans should be VERY excited watching!!!’, Cafu tweeted.
Meanwhile, Jesus remained humble and grateful to be given the opportunity to don the Brazil No 9 shirt.
‘There are lot of players in Brazil who can wear the No 9 but I am proud that I have this opportunity. I am proud to be honouring the shirt.’
During his two-year stint at Palmeiras, Jesus has netted a total of 19 times and assisted a further five from 40 appearances in all competitions.
