Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised his side’s teamwork ability to come back and secure a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Juan Mata opened the scoring in the 69th minute as United looked to have earned a much-needed win, but an 89th-minute goal by Olivier Giroud was enough to bag his side a point at Old Trafford.
Giroud has scored eight times from his last nine shots on target after heading the late equaliser at Old Trafford.
The 67-year old Wenger was impressed with his side’s ability to come back and secure a draw against Jose Mourinho’s side, and singled out substitutes Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
‘The two substitutes did well. We have done that so many times this season and it shows that there is something in this squad which is remarkable. It’s great unity, great resilience and a never-give-up attitude. We know that we can do better going forward,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.
Arsenal will now turn their attention to the Champions League when they take on PSG on Wednesday.
The match at the Emirates Stadium kicks off at 21:45.
