Manchester United defender Phil Jones has reassured his teammates that ‘there is no need to panic’ following their 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Red Devils produced a dominant performance against Arsenal on Saturday, but were frustrated after being held to a 1-1 draw following Olivier Giroud’s 89th-minute equaliser on.
The 24-year-old sympathises with Jose Mourinho’s claims of being unlucky and remains optimistic that his side’s form will improve soon.
‘Sometimes the luck is not on your side but it will change. We just have to keep plugging away, keep training well, keep playing and keep putting performances in like that and hopefully it will then change,’ Jones told the Manchester United website.
‘There is no need to panic yet. We have been playing well and creating chances, it is just that bit of luck that we need and hopefully, it will come soon.’
Manchester United will next welcome Feyenoord to Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday.
Kick-off has been set for 22:05.
