Chippa United captain James Okwuosa believes history will mean little when his side take on Orlando Pirates at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday.
In their previous match on Saturday, Chippa United suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Cape Town City at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The Chilli Boys has an advantage over the Buccaneers in terms of previous results, with Dan Malesela’s side victorious in three of their last six encounters.
The 26-year-old defender believes history won’t count when they take on Augusto Palacios’ side, and that his side will give it their all on Tuesday.
‘In football history means little. We still have to go out and give our all on Tuesday,’ Okwuosa told the Chippa United website.
The match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
