Former Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mashego is enjoying his football at Chippa United.
Mashego, who joined the Chilli Boys a free agent this season, scored his first goal from a penalty spot against Bidvest Wits on debut.
‘It’s always a great feeling when you score from your home debut, although we lost the game, I would be feeling very special if we won the game, but such things happen in football; you win some, and you lose some,’ the 34-year-old Mashego told the Chippa United website.
‘I’m currently enjoying my few days in Port Elizabeth. I received a warm welcome from the fans, technical team and the players.
‘We have a stadium that is in good condition, an amazing management who has been welcoming and supportive to me.’
Chippa United will be hoping to bounce back when they host Orlando Pirates on Tuesday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, with kick-off set at 19:30.
