Arsenal right back Carl Jenkinson says he was left frustrated following his side’s 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Gunners currently sit at the top of Group A level on points with PSG, with Arsene Wenger’s side leading on goal difference.
The 24-year-old believes his side were the better team on the day and he feels that the Gunners deserved to walk away with maximum points against the Ligue 1 side.
‘Yeah, it does. I feel like, for the majority of the game, we were the better team and we could have won it. But it wasn’t meant to be. It’s frustrating because I think it’s a game we could have won,’ Jenkinson told the Arsenal website.
‘I think so. It’s frustrating we didn’t win – it feels a bit like a defeat. Everyone’s a bit flat but in the grand scheme of things it’s not a terrible result. We just have to go to Basel and get a good result.’
Arsenal will now return to the Premier League when they take on Bournemouth on Sunday.
The match at the Emirates Stadium kicks off at 16:15.
