Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is delighted with his side’s result and performance in their 4-0 victory over Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Red Devils are now within a point of qualifying for the next round of the tournament and sit second in Group A, a point adrift of leaders Fenerbahce with Feyenoord trailing them by two points.
The 47-year-old coach was delighted with his side’s ability to score goals to improve their chances of qualifying for the next round.
‘Yeah, I’m happy, this was a performance and a result. I was saying before the match, performance without result is not good but gives you a future,’ Mourinho told the Manchester United website.
‘A bad performance with a good result is a happy moment but it’s just a happy moment, not a happy future.
‘And this time they played very well again with goals and it’s important for us, because we always said since day one we want to do well in the Europa League. We were in a position of needing four points and now we need just one.’
Manchester United will next focus on the Premier League when they take on West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 18:30.
