Kaizer Chiefs have wished former right back Siboniso Gaxa well with his move to Absa Premiership leaders Bidvest Wits.
The Clever Boys confirmed on Monday that the 32-year-old defender has joined the club after impressing Gavin Hunt during his trial period there.
The Glamour Boys said in a statement the player’s clearance has been granted and wished Gaxa well with his new venture.
‘Kaizer Chiefs can confirm that the Club was approached by Bidvest Wits to provide them with Siboniso Gaxa’s clearance. We duly provided them with the clearance and he has now signed with Wits. We would like to thank him for his service to Amakhosi and wish him well in the future,’ the Kaizer Chiefs website announced.
Over the course of his club career, Gaxa has netted five goals and assisted a further 17 from 286 appearances in all competitions, playing for SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Lierse SK and Kaizer Chiefs.
On an international level, the right back has racked up a total of 52 appearances for Bafana Bafana since making his debut in 2005 under then coach Stuart Baxter.
