Cape Town City owner John Comitis hopes his side can carry their domestic form over to the Telkom Knockout Cup final against SuperSport United on Saturday.
Eric Tinkler’s side summited the Absa Premiership table after their 3-2 victory over Bidvest Wits on Friday.
Comitis believes they showed real character and is hoping for a repeat of this.
‘I was so happy,’ Comitis told KickOff.com.
‘Wits’ ground is where we had a poor start [in the MTN8 semi-final first leg]. But the boys have shown character and spirit of togetherness and you saw that when they fought until the end.
‘I hope they carry this to the final.’
They are improving with every match, the City boss added.
‘We play game by game. Still early, but the signs are starting to show. The belief is there and we must carry on.’
The match at Peter Mokaba Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
