Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho praised his side’s performance following their vital 1-0 victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the only goal of the match in the 29th minute as his side went on to walk away with all three points at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese manager has credited his side’s performance on Sunday but admits that it was an important win for the Red Devils.
‘We have been playing so well but not getting results. We needed the result today, even if the performance could be not as good as the others. But that was not the case,’ Mourinho told Manchester United website.
‘I think the performance was even better than the others because we were playing against a very good team. A team that, for me, is the one that I prefer in the Premier League because of the way they play football, defensively and offensively.
