Amajita have secured their place in the Cosafa Cup U20 semi-finals following their 1-0 victory over Botswana at the Moruleng Stadium on Monday.
Coach Thabo Senong side qualified for the penultimate stage following their 8-0 victory over Lesotho and 1-0 win over Swaziland before defeating Botswana 1-0 on Monday to advance to the semi-finals.
The South African U20 side have now netted 10 goals in the group stages and are yet to conceded or suffer a defeat in the tournament.
Amajita struggled to carve out any real opportunities at goal in the first half against Botswana but pushed on in the second half and were rewarded when Sibongakonke Mbatha gave his side the lead late on in the second half.
Amajita winger Sifundo Sibiya made his way run down the left flank before his cross found Mbatha, who’s strike came off the upright before slotting the ball into an empty net to give his side a 1-0 lead.
The South African side will now take on Angola in the semi-finals on Wednesday in the hopes of making their way to the finals on Friday.
