Chelsea are flying high with confidence after their 12th consecutive league win, says former Barcelona playmaker Pedro.
‘I’m very happy to have scored and help the team but the most important thing was the win,’ the Spaniard told the club’s website.
‘It’s unbelievable because it’s very difficult to do that in the Premier League but the team are very compact on the pitch and that’s the right way.
‘It was very good, all the team played very well with great intensity and a good mentality. It was a very important win on Boxing Day for the supporters and we are very happy.’
Antonio Conte hardly missed Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante with Pedro, Eden Hazard and Willian all attacking with vigour.
‘It was a good performance, all the players are high on confidence and that’s very good for the team,’ Pedro added.
‘The attackers played very well and that’s the most important thing, the team were fighting for each other on the pitch and that’s the right way.’
Next up is a home game with Stoke City on Saturday. Pedro will serve a one-match suspension having picked up a fifth booking of the season yesterday.
‘It’s difficult because the season is very long, there are a lot of games still to play but at the moment it’s very good for us to be top of the league,’ Pedro said.
‘Bournemouth are a good team and it was very difficult. Stoke are also a very good team but we must take it game by game.’
