Former Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Matthew Rusike has joined CS Sfaxien on a three-year contract, the Tunisian giants have confirmed.
‘Pleased to announce the final conclusion of an agreement between the Bureau and Director striker Zimbabwean Matthew Rusike after signing a 3-year contract with CS Sfaxien,’ read a statement on the club’s website.
Rusike was part of the key group of players including Tefu Mashamaite and Mandla Masango that opted to try their hand overseas following the highly-successful 2014-15 campaign enjoyed by Kaizer Chiefs and which has left the Glamour Boys struggling on the domestic scene since.
The Zimbabwean international’s move comes somewhat as a surprise after featuring 30 times for Helsingborg last term where he found the back of the net four times.
‘Welcome to Rusike in the CSSiste family and good luck,’ concluded the CS Sfaxien press release on the signing.
