Mamelodi Sundowns star trio Khama Billiat, Keagan Dolly and Denis Onyango have been honoured with a place in the Caf Team of the Year for 2016.
The trio join the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sadio Mane and Riyad Mahrez in being selected for the continent’s best XI.
The Sundowns stars are three of five players plying their trade on the African continent to be selected for the prestigious team after the Chloorkop side went all the way in the Caf Champions League.
Dolly, Billiat and Onyango could be in line for further glory alongside Sundowns teammate Hlompho Kekana as they make up four of the five nominees for the African Player of the Year (Based in Africa) nominees with Rainford Kalaba (TP Mazembe).

Forwards: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund), Sadio Mane (Liverpool), Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)
The rest of the awards will be announced in a glittering ceremony in Abuja, Nigeria on Thursday.
