Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel became the latest player at the club to pick up a major award after he was named 2016 Danish PFA Player of the Year on Sunday.
The award voted for by professional Danish footballers was won by Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen for the past three years.
Th Danish shot-stopper won the award of he kept 15 clean sheets in 38 appearances during the Foxes Premier League title winning season in 2015-16.
This season, Schmeichel has already kept eight clean sheets from 17 appearances in all competitions as his side defend their Premier League title.
Schmeichel’s award comes two days after his teammate Riyad Mahrez was named as the CAF African Player of the Year.
