Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung has congratulated Mamelodi Sundowns for their achievement at the 2016 Caf Awards held in Abuja, Nigeria’s on Thursday.
The Brazilians dominated the awards ceremony after the club walked away with three awards, with Pitso Mosimane winning coach of the year, Denis Onyango picking up African Player of the Year – Based in Africa and Sundowns claiming club of the year.
Motaung has now congratulated Sundowns on their achievements at the awards gala and has reserved special praise for the club’s president Patrice Motsepe for his leadership at the club.
‘On behalf of Kaizer Chiefs, I wish to congratulate Mamelodi Sundowns for their achievements at the CAF Awards,’ Motaung told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
‘Well done to club President Patrice Motsepe for his leadership and for making the country proud.’
Amakhosi’s chairman went on to congratulate Mosimane on his individual achievements and praising the club for what they have achieved.
‘I wish to also congratulate coach Mosimane and his players for their individual achievements,’ He added.
‘I am proud of their achievements as they auger well for the quality and the standard of the PSL.
‘Congratulations once more to the reigning African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.’
