Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung wishes his side a happy anniversary after the club turned 47 on Monday.
Motaung sent his well wishes to the club on their anniversary and says he is delighted to have celebrated this milestone with the club.
‘Let me take this opportunity to wish the Amakhosi a happy 47th anniversary,’ Motaung told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
‘We are pleased to see and celebrate another milestone in the history of our iconic Club.’
The Amakhosi chairman also reserved special praise and paid tribute to the founding members of the club who have passed on.
‘Every anniversary brings back memories of the past,’ He added
‘I wish to pay tribute to all the founding members who are no longer with us. Last year, we lost two of our stalwarts, Pele Blaschke and Petros ‘Ten-Ten’ Nzimande, both of whom played a sterling role in the foundation of Kaizer Chiefs. May their souls rest in peace.’
He added: ‘I am pleased to see the Club evolving over the years while keeping the fundamental principles of spreading Love & Peace through the CSI program,’
‘We are continuing to work in partnership with organisations such as the Reach For A Dream Foundation, which is gratifying to see.
‘Thank you to our faithful supporters. Without our sponsors and partners, we wouldn’t have reached these milestones, and I wish to recognise them all for their support.’
