In the latest edition of the Fifa rankings, Bafana Bafana have stalled in 60th place while Argentina and the rest of the top 10 remain in the respective positions.
The South African national team remain in 60th position in the world rankings and are currently ranked 11th in the African conference of the rankings.
Bafana Bafana will now go up against Cape Verde, who are currently in 79th position, in their third match Group of the qualifying round on August 28.
Meanwhile, the Argentina side holds its dominance in the rankings by remaining in first place with a points lead of 90 over Brazil, while the top 10 saw no changes as every team held onto their previous positions respectively.
