Manchester United have confirmed that Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini has extended his contract with the club until 2018.
The Red Devils have now triggered the clause in the 29-year-old’s contract by signing him on for a further year at Old Trafford.
The Belgium midfielder recently scored his first goal of the season during their 2-0 win against Hull City in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Fellaini has already lifted the FA Cup with United and has netted eight goals and assisted a further five from 62 appearances in all competitions since joining United.
